Corbin v Stock solo

Well, I decided to put the stock Kawasaki solo seat on my 2004 Vulcan Drifter, replaceing my Corbin 2-up that came on the bike, which I just bought used a couple of months ago.  Have to say I love the look of the solo, but when the rubber hits the road, or, should I say, when my backside hits the pan, there is no comparison in my opinion.  The Corbin is just way more comfortable.

I know everyone is different, but I apparently like a firm seat and after 100 miles in the Corbin I am still fine, but 100 miles with that stock seat - that's a different story.  The stock seat feels smaller, too - maybe because it is, or maybe it's just the way it is cut.  Don't know.  Needless to say, I put the Corbin back on today (man, that's a hard thing to do by yourself, by the way) and now I'm thinking that I'm going to have to get the Corbin solo so I can have both the look and the comfort.  I'm toying with the idea of selling the 2-up, but figure I may want to do some dual riding one of these days so I'll most likely keep it.  On the other hand, selling the 2-up with the backrest could help offset the cost of a solo; if I decide to, I'll list it in the classifieds.  The Corbin I have is in like-new shape!

Hmm, I wonder if the Corbin seat would improve the ride of my other favorite bike, my 2005 Yamaha Majesty?  Guess that's a question for another forum.  Take care!
