I know what you mean.  The fenders define the look and set it apart from anything else out there.

I cant imagine having a Drifter without that front fender.  To each his own I guess.

There's also the Yakaz site, which gathers ads from around the web.  A lot of the ads are old and expired though.

I have only heard if two, personally.

No Worries

I've been following a number of ads on WAZAK.  I've seen a at least a dozen Drifters with either Nomad or Harley fenders.  I guess not everyone likes the sculpted fender as much as I do.  Too bad.

There are a couple for sale here in OH on Craigslist. There might even be links posted on here in the forsale section.. some really out of the great price range. But if your going to finance you might have trouble as I recently found out the book value on Drifters is really low for some reason. Hope you find your bike.

Thanks for that link.  Looks like a good option if the need arises.

The current owner had replaced the Nomad-like fender with a Drifter fender.  He was just giving me the background info on it.  At this point, I think I'm ruling that bike out, as I think it might have been dumped before, AND the price is way out of the market.

If you interested. I believe there have been a few people that have purchased a fender from this guy.  I guess they are reproductions of ours, made of fiberglass. 225 plus 39 shipping.

Okay, I checked the VIN and it definitely is a 99.  So it makes sense that the original fender was damaged, and the original owner replaced it with something like a Nomad fender.

Broken, as in dropped?   ???

Broken as in dropped, hit, kicked, ran into something, who knows....
But ALL DRIFTERS came with the full fender and one way to know is to ck. the Vin#.

If it didn't come with the full fenders... its NOT a drifter!!! Yes, they ALL came with the full fenders, front and back.

I suspect the bike's original fender got broken and replaced with a much cheaper vulcan fender.

My 99 has the full fender and the VIN is 00000681. Thats pretty early, or is it? No one knows how many were made from what I understand. Maybe the previous owners ran into a deer and the fender was replaced with the Nomad type?

I have a '99 and it has the full fender on it.

I've seen a few 99s that did not have the full front fender.  They look like a Nomad fender.  One guy selling a Drifter said he added the full fender on, as it didn't come with the fender when he bought it from another person.  So my question is, did the early Drifters first come with a shorter front fender, or is there something else going on here?
