Yes, the one's I referred you to fold up... the underside is nicely chromed and look pretty good IMHO.

I ride alone a lot but want to do it just for the looks of the boards, but one question do they fold up out of the way? because that is the look I am after folding floor borads for the passanger.

I've got mine done.  Turned out OK, I think.  I took pictures, and need to take the time to get them on here as a mod.

Like I said, they turned out fine, but if I were sure I wanted to keep the rear boards , I would consider spending the extra bucks and buying krakurian, and do it up like Chief's boards.  For mine, I was trying to do it on the cheap - not knowing how much my wife will ever want to ride.  For example, since I've had them done, I think she's been on there 2-3 times.

Thank you kind gentleman...I ahve been racking my poor old feeble brain to find some way to get floorboards for my Drifter. I think it would just add a touch of class to the whole bike. This is going to be a winter time project for me and so now I cna refer to this page for the parts and parts numbers..and get spanked on the shipping charges......but thanks again.

The Drifter is a limited edition, limited run bike... if you expect there to be as many aftermarket accessories for it as there are for the cookie cutter bikes, you will be disappointed. But, look around... nearly every mod you can think of has been done by some drifter rider. We tend to be very innovative.

I just wanted to say I am feeling your pain! Pretty much in the same boat with my 1500. I ordered some cheap universal pegs from JPcycles. They should be here sometime next week, I'll try to let you know. I wanted floorboards too but just couldn't spend the money after everything else I've had to buy. This is my first bike and I love it, but I'm wondering, are all motorcycles this difficult and expensive to make minor customizations to? Alright, I'm done whining for today.

Good luck with those boards. I tried a couple of different configurations and finally ended up with these... with the appropriate hardware... still took some tweaking. Mine is a 1500, but they should be the same.

I seemed to have answered my own questions, at least part of them.  It seems the mount on the floor boards are called "male mounts" or harley style mounts.  Evidently not used on any metric stuff.  The slotted mount that this male mount goes into is referred to as the "clevis mount".  This is all rather moot, b/c I can't find anybody that makes mounts that fit the Drifter that accept the male mount.

So stay tuned for my drifter custom fabricated harley peg mount adapters...

Installed my new(used) corbin 2-up.  great.  Footpegs will be a no-brainer, right?  WRONG.

I desired floorboards to go with the front, so I ordered a pair of universal floorboards, with mounts like in the first pic.  I believe these are called "clevis style"? Or are they "Post style"?  I'm honestly confused about the whole mess and I'm not finding much good info.  I had a hard time finding much info on what I wanted, so I bought these thinking they looked like they would fit or be made to fit in the mounts on the bike.

For those who haven't seen or noticed (I have no idea if the 1500 is the same) the mounts on the bike are simply two flat brackets, mounted at 45 degrees, thus:  /  /  They are almost an inch apart.  These floorboards are not going to work without some type of adapters, but try as I might, I cannot find any adapter.  I suppose I could fab something, but for this simple application, I don't want to spend the time on it.

All I can really find, to fit a vulcan rear footpeg, are the kurakyn 8831 mounts - but these adapters are for a completely different style of footpeg/floorboard mount (next picture).  Then I'd have to buy kurakyn pegs, or mini-boards or whatever, and have a little over a hundred bucks involved (plus the boards I already bought)

Can anybody help me understand what "style" or "type" of pegs/boards I need to be looking for, and/or what adapters will work for this application??   Does somebody make an adapter to fit the vulcan 800 frame, that will accept this "style" of pegs???  I'm lost at the moment.
