Hey buddy, I have some spreader bars that I use with lift straps. I have 2 electric hoists on the same rail with trollys. I hook to the crash bars and I made two lift eyes to attach to the frame rail where the 2-up seat frame bolts on. The bracket is just a piece of 1 inch by 1/4 flat bar with 2 holes drilled with a shackle used to attach to lift straps. Here is a photo as I am putting on a new exhaust off of a nomad on. This type of lifting is the best, bar none!  Tim

Tim, my 800 has the handlebar risers on it (PO put them on) and I'm pretty sure the cables are all still stock.  I think it put the handlebars in a much better riding position.  Hope you like yours as well.

Just curious - what lift points did you use on your 1500 to lift it, and what did you use to hook onto the bike??    I was just last weekend wishing I had a cycle lift, but I do have an overhead beam and can maybe rig a hoist up...

Oh Yea!!!!!  The risers work great and fit with just moving the cables out of the wire guide at the triple tree. Clears the dash great. Phatt ll. The kuyrakyn  cruise also fit nice and just ground the little tab off next to grip for better fit. This bike fits wonderful now, if I can just keep the speed down, this bike runs fast easily.Just cruising and look at the speedo and oops. 87mph, not legal here! Will have to get used to this new bike. I do notice some backlash in the differential when I feather the throttle, is this normal? Kinda like a whine sound, no clunking or anything. Changed the diff lube and lubed the gear when I put the new tires on. Sounds that I may have to get used to. So much noise on the Harley, I would just add new sounds to the list after inspecting things. The belt drive is quiet, though. Tim

Yeah, trikes aren't a lot different when it comes to steering. There is a trike out there that allows some lean, can't remember which one it is, however!

I ride (with my wife) on my own 99% of the time. Riding with a group is a lot of work... and, honestly, I have limited socializing capacity... it wears me out. Sturgis isn't my thing... been there. I do like the Black Hills... when its not 112. Don't like the wind across the plains. Actually, I stay away from most big rallies nowadays. Might as well go in an ac'd cage... you can't really "ride" anywhere without traffic and lines.
Anyway, let us know how it goes!

I have a sidecar on both my Harleys (65 abd 85) but you are driving them even with the easy steer. Haven't rode a trike. Will do this summer and make a decision to go trike or rebuild the motor on the 85. When the wife and granddaughter go with, it take more bike. The drifter is just right for me to cruise around on. Really do not go on long rides anymore. Used to have lots of riding buds, most are dead now. Never waited to find someone to ride with, just went. Don't care what someone rides,just ride. Been to sturgis a couple times, but do not have to ride that far to get hasseled by the police! Loved the heads, and spearfish canyon. Tim

You got that right!  Yeah, we are considering a trike or a sidecar add-on. The latter is cheaper by far.

I really do not ride that aggressive anymore, however i can still scrape the floorboards if I bend it over too far. Works better for my artificial hips. Hung the bike from my overhead hoists and removed the wheels from the bottom. Worked good. Will keep the two up seat to have when I sell the bike when I move to a trike.  It is hard to find things for a drifter. Tim

If you ride half-way aggressively you WILL scrap the floorboards!!

Corbin is a firm seat. I've used them for many, many years. They are not the "arm-chair" monkey-butt inducing seats which come from the bike makers. We routinely do very long trips with no soreness, no hot-spots, no rashes. They do take some getting used to, however.

If you want to get rid of it let me know. We buy them for resale, so we try to buy at a wholesale price!!

I ordered a set from scooterworks. Lowered the floorboards 1 and one half inches and ordered a cruise control. Serviced and new tires, ready to go. Got the two up seat with the bike (corbin) and it is awlfull  !!!! Most uncomfortable seat ever. Looks nice.   Took it off right away. Back rest was nice, though.Tim

Physically should work with longer stud and spacer, don't know about safety and looks however.

Hey fellas, can I just put a 3 inch spacer under my handlebar riser and use a longer bolt? I do not want to change any cables or wires. Thanks  Tim
