metzler tires?

I have a 1500, and I'm running the 160/80-16 rear for a 1500 GoldWing..and the normal 130/90-16 on the front

yes absolutely I checked every marking there is. the only thing diff than my last 2 sets is REINF on the rear. never saw that before. and as unbelievable as it is 3 yrs ago they did the same thing to me, reversed front and rear tires!!!! needless to say i was pretty hot!! but i never measured the last time but my hunch is that both times the flunky just visually saw the fatter looking 130 and put it on the rear. if you have 130 front 140 rear maybe you could throw a measurement my way?

that's very strange. I have been running the Brazilian Metzelers for many years, on my TourGlide, and now on my Drifter, and I found that the Brazilian built tires seem to last longer than the German built.. Wondering if the tire you have has been mis-marked. Check the sidewall and be sure it says 140/90-16. Dumb question, at this point, but are you sure that they put a REAR tire on the rear, and not another front?

hey all, just put the third set of metzlers on and the dealer installed em front to back! of course i returned immed to have this fixed and when i got home and took a look to be sure they were right i noticed that even tho the front was on the front etc the rear still looked smaller. so being a machinist i threw calipers on both and wtf the 130 in front measures a full 1/4 inch wider than the 140 in back!!!! i called metzler and the specs they gave do confirm the 140 should measure 5.77. mine is 5.1!! thats like 5/8 too small. their answer was to put the max 50psi in and ride 200mi to stretch it out. tey are thefirst set of me880 out of the 3 ive owned to be made in brazil so maybe metz is going the way of everything else, cheaper. any thoughts on this size diff apprec,
