Front Bevel Gear Seals

Today's investigation revealed that it is gear oil not motor oil! Found small seepage at the shaft's rear flange. looking like it is the rear diff seal not the bevel gear, that should be a simpler fix.

I seem to be leaking oil at the front of my drive shaft. It looks like engine oil, so has any one changed these seals? Manual says it requires "special skills that are beyond the normal skills of engine mechanics". Really ? Is this the truth of just BS?
