Not more than I had before, which was occasional at most. I have been very pleased.

How's the performance? Any noticible popping when you throttle down?

Any Drifter riders looking for more sound from your bike? I was too. I was desperate for it...enough to finally make the mods myself. THe fix was very easy despite not seeing any help for this online. Here is what I did...

1. Remove the fish tail exhaust tip
2. Get a drill, a 3" hole saw and arbor*
3. Drill right through the back plate with (2) 1" pipes sticking through
4. Clear out the remaining metal shavings
5. Close 'er back up and ride!

It was that easy. You are likely to chew up some teeth of the hole saw in the process, but it was worth it. As for the sound, it is not too loud...unfortunately. It does give it more of a gritty growl under acceleration though, which helps. Of course, if I had my druthers, the sound of the pipes would rattle me right off the back end of the bike, but perhaps another day, when I can afford pipes that do that.

I hope you find this helpful. If so, let me know.

*The arbor is the extension adapter for the hole saw blade to be able to reach the plate 9" down the pipe. This will cost you $9 at Lowes if you don't have one.
