If you have power, then you have wire, flasher, fuse and switch - its gotta be one of them!

Something blew the fuse the first time... that something could have also caused other components to fail. If you see no shorts, then the switch is the next logical point of concern, I would think.

Yeah, I had nothing, but this morning the running lights are working.  I must have knocked something when I was poking around last night.  I'll have a look this weekend.  Thanks!

Maybe......if the light goes on but doesn't flash, it might be the flasher. But if you have nothing.....i'd check power to the switch or maybe take the switch apart and have a look. That switch sees a lot of action thru the years.

I was kinda thinkin' the same way.......or maybe there's a flasher unit somewhere on the bike that could be the culprit?

hmmmm electical sucks. So many variables. I think i'd did into the switch its self. Get used alot , right?

OK, so a while back my turn signals quit.  I opened up the fusebox and replaced the bad fuse, and all was right in my world.  Then a few days later, the signals were out again.  What the heck?  This time the fuse is good!  I looked all over for a short or bare wires......nothing.  The headlight bucket was good, as were the wires along the frame.  All the bulbs are fine too.

And so, while the steering still works fine, the only signals I can give are good old fashioned hand signals.  While I'm cool with the old timey nostalgia of that, most people don't have a clue what I'm doing when I throw up the left arm in a right angle to signal a right turn.  (It's kinda fitting with the style of the bike though!)

So, what now?

Off to the stealership?

Got any better ideas?

(My bike is a 2001 1500 if that makes any difference.)
