solo seat rail

I hate to sound like an idiot but can anyone show me with a picture how the seat rail attaches to the solo seat. I finally found the rail but I must be an idiot because I do not see how it can attach. I even recieved the spacers but it just does not seem to line up at all. Before you ask yes this rail is for the 1500 and not for the 800.
