One up seat question

Yeah, there may be a difference in the front bracket, but its not a real problem. Should still fit.

Yeah its pretty easy to move from 2-up to solo. You have to REMOVE hardware for the solo, so other than the seat there is nothing new to buy. Any year should work on any other year. As Troll mentioned solo seats from 99/00 may require a little more work, but its still easy.

I have the two up seat and frame from a '99 on my '01 right now, and the fit is just a little different than it would be due, I suspect, the different fuel tank. The seat and frame fit fine, and it's few minutes work to put the solo seat back on, without any other changes. Seems to me that the differences are all at the front and it took a little horsing around at first to get the mount washer to engage properly, but now it fits easily. I would suspect the reverse, two up to solo, would be about the same deal....

I tried to look around to find if there is a conversation about this but could not find anything  so please forgive me if this is a repost

I have a 99 Drifter 1500 with the two up seat.  I would like to know if i could get a one up seat from a later model and get it to work with minimal workaround.   I would prefer the one up seat when I am alone but swap it out to the two up seat when the Mrs goes with me.  Any suggestions would be great.
