Well, no luck on the Krylon. However, I did find a transparent red spray bomb, it is designed for taillights and is recommended for motorcycle windshields. Up here in Canada it is available in Canadian Tire; I would think that Checker Auto parts in the U.S. would carry it, or Napa. As to the amber lenses, JP Cycles, (jpcycles.com) has the amber spots, in both ribbed and smooth, $17.99/each, in my 2010 catalog.
Hope this helps.

And the hunt is on...... I'll post if I find a decent supplier for the Krylon.

That's what started me on the idea. I did my windshield as an experiment with testors model paint, and it worked out well, but the only color I could find was red. I got the amber on line

Looks good until you turn the lights on.....
Btw, can you use that Krylon Stained Glass color on the windshield? Would be a good (and cheap)way to get the red on the bottom half of a windshield.

Well, part of it is a whoops, anyway. I have been looking for a set of amber fog lamps, 4.5", 12v for a while now. I used to be able to get them at the local tractor stuff store for about $3 each, but no more. They have the white ones, but no amber. I checked a local auto parts supplier, and they wanted $35 each....ahhhh, no I don't think so. I did find them on line for $17 each plus shipping, but still no cigar. I got a can of Krylon Stained Glass color (also not easy to find, at least around here) and I dyed the inside of the lights amber...came out nice, and since the color is on the inside, it won't get damaged. To go it one further, I got a set of LED H-3 bulbs....supposed to be white, but they are 9000K....the results are ...well interesting to say the least. I believe I'm going back to the halogen bulbs.
