I'll measure how far the frame is from the ground later but where my exhaust bracket is is now 3.5-4in lower than before, i would have though 11in shocks would lower 2 in or less but i guess because of the design of the suspension it dropped it much further...

I checked the angle on the driveshaft, its actually at less of an angle that in stock form, it'l closer to being straignt across rather than dropping down like on stock bikes so i wasnt worried about that

It's not just lowering the back that's a problem, but you also changed the rake angle and trail. Rake and trail are critical to stability and handling. Ideally, you lower the front to speed up turn in, and raise it to slow it down. By lowering the rear, you slowed down the handling and increased things like turning radius. Ground clearance is a factor that must also be considered. When I put my SuperGlide drag bike on the road, I put 2" over tubes in, and 13" rear shocks to get the geometry back to normal and fix the problem a lowered bike has with grinding exhaust parts, foot pegs and the side stand...you need to consider all the ramifications of a change before you commit to it.  I really like the seat I bought from you.....

Wow... first, there isn't 3-4 inches to spare on a Drifter!!! LOL... the stock shocks are 13 inch... so 11 inch shocks would lower it two inches. I'd also lower the front end... just to help maintain the shaft geometry and avoid future shaft wear problems.  Some folks don't agree, but I like peace of mind.

Exhaust clearance is going to vary by the design of the exhaust... not much difference otherwise IMHO.

Sweet, that should certainly make things easier/better...

*edit

I installed some 11 in shocks yesterday, it seems to have lowered the bike 3-4 in where the exhaust is and a little less near where the swingarm pivots...
while it looks great i did just scrap my exhaust a tad when i rode up town a bit ago

does anyone know if the classic exhaust set a little higher than the drifter kits or am i just going to have to become accustomed to this

Just buy a right side peg bracket intended for a Vulcan classic... then buy pipes made for the classic... there are a bunch of them. This not only opens up your choices for pipes, but ensures you keep your rubber mounting for those pipes. (Pipes made for drifters usually don't provide rubber mount brackets... so you end up with broken pipes, increased vibrations etc. )

Thanks, but not really interested in 2-1 exhaust systems

I read somewhere that we can use different exhaust kits from other vn1500 we just have to make our own brackets...

can anyone see why it wouldnt work, honestly if they are the same engine i see no down side
