Strange things can happen as long as it doesn't include pieces falling off my bike!! :P

I knew it wasn't a stock piece off the bike... and didn't look like anything an aftermarket company would produce for a bike... but stranger things have happened!!

There is nothing broken off, just a bad photograph. That's why I said yikes! I drove my bike into the garage last night and came out this morning to find this piece laying directly below the mudflap of my rear fender. My bike is the only thing that has been parked in the garage for the last 6 months and I sweep the floor every week. As many times as I have washed and polished that bike I would have noticed if something was loose or missing on the outside, I was just concerned about if it could be something from underneath that I can't see. If it is not something from my bike that is great, but that still leaves the unanswered question of where the heck did it come from?  ???

chief

How do you know it came from the bike?

It looks like circular, hard plastic, with the top broken off... I don't remember anything like that on a stock setup.

Yep, hole goes all the way thru. And I still have my rear footpegs.....I love mysteries, except when it comes to my bike  ;D

TC

I can't tell from the pic. Does the hole go all the way through the rubber?
I have rubber covers on the brackets where my rear foot pegs used to be. They look something like the piece you are holding.  Mine are just a cap , not a spacer.

Everything seems to be intact on my rear turn signals..... hmmm

Redbeard

Looks like the insert from when I took off the rear turn signals!

I went out to jump on the bike this morning and found this laying behind my bike. It is a spacer of some sort, where in the world would that have come from? It is made out of a hard plastic/rubber material. Any ideas??
