Ordered the 465-1148 rear shock, 11-1126 front springs and 1165-20B (upgraded progressive rear spring for the 465 series) today.  Looking forward to getting it all installed.

Gonna have to upgrade soon.  Anyone try the Progressive 465 Series?  How about the Rear Shock Pre-Load Improvement Kit from Scootworks?

You will need a tool to make the adjustment. You may find that it is adjusted all the way already. For what ever reason the stock shocks on these don't last.

Progressive make a great uni-shock for these but they are expensive, actually the stock shock from Kawi is up there too. If you are planing on keeping the bike I would go with the Progressive. Its about 75 to 100 more.

Good Luck

Both... check SUSPENSION in the mods/tips section of the web site. There is a tip telling you how to adjust the monoshock. There are also aftermarket monoshocks for the 800... they are expensive.

Picked up a 800 this spring and I am starting to get comfortable with her.  Now my wife is itching for me to take her for a spin.  I am a bigger guy coming in at around 260lbs and the wife is close to 200lbs.   Can anything be done to adjust the preload or upgrade the rear shock on an 800?
