As far as the dynojetting goes. I have the DFI system which is mostly electronic. So makes me wonder if I should dish out hundreds of dollars to let someone map it, possibly on the same site I did. Besides, I'm the only person who knows how my rides running. So if the need or feeling arrises again, I'll just tweak the settings again, being the fidgetrrr I am.

Keep the rubber side down folks,

I installed the Hard Chrome exhaust system, Hypercharger, & powercommander @ the same time. The Power Commander package came with a 9 volt battery power supply for the purpose of going on-line to there mapping site ( do not have a pc in da garage, hehe, it will not retain the settings if not powered)). Anyways, you choose the closest equipipment configuration you have installed, and it maps it accordingly. Since then I have adjusted & experimented with different settings several times,(mine has three, low, mid, high), looking for that saweeet spot.. Personally, I think it runs a lil rich, but the performance still seems to be there (It has never not started, no matter where I had adjusted the settings, although she will let you know, if she does'nt like the current configuration).
The thing that really seemed to stand out to me when installing was the restriction of air of the stock components. I choosen to destroy the crossover duct that was located between the heads, versus getting into disasembling head parts and possibly other components, to get to it. (hacksaw blades work good on plastic). My best guess on the stock components is that the air enters on the right side, where filter is located, travels across the duct to the other side cover, where the sensors, and such are, then travels back again, through duct, and enters the engine on filter side. So I think there is quite a difference of air intake between the stock components, versus the air infusion the hypercharger gives you. Coincidently I received some rebuilding parts in the mail today for the hypercharger. Last season it started making a rattleing noise @ certain rpm's, I suspect ones I use often & consistently when riding. I am replacing the diaphram and shaft assembly, butterflys and shaft assembly, bearings, basically, all the moving parts. Never play with the butterflys when engine is off, you may unseat the diaphram. One of my elementary teachers told me I fidgeted a lot, she was right, hehe.

I agree. In my opinion the cobra part works very well with only the after market pipes and nothing else. We installed a cobra module on the suzuki bouevard when the straight pipes were put on. No adjustments necessary. But when you factor in the hypercharger on my drifter, I now feel that the cobra cannot handle the extra demands and cannot be adjusted properly. I have seen a major improvement on fuel useage, idling, and overall performance since the power commander was installed. I no longer have black soot caked on the tips of my pipes, I have no hesitation in acceleration and no smoke of any kind from the pipes now. If I would have found this shop earlier I would not be out the $300 for the cobra module+labor from the local Kawasaki dealer. Oh well live and learn! ;D

Shops like the PCIII because it costs more and "can" be infinitely adjustable (more tinkering for them to charge for).

Truly to get the max performance from a bike a dyno'd PCIII (or equiv.) is the way to go. BUT you have to dyno the bike and readjust for every modification ... and then you have to do periodic dyno's just to keep up. You need to factor in initial equipment cost, initial setup and installation and dyno costs.

That said, on my 1500 I have a K&N filter and aftermarket pipes ... I got a Cobra 2 pot (before they made the 3 pot), one click on one pot and the bike was set. I have had the bike dyno'd,  just for the heck of it... and like where its running.  No hassle, low cost and runs fine (for 8 years now).

Hyperchargers seem to demand more tinkering to get the bike running properly...

Hey SG- Thought I needed to update you. After installing new plugs, running a couple of tanks of gumout, and tinkering with my cobra fuel module I was able to lean the bike out pretty good. Then I took my bike into a new shop, where they took off the cobra part, had a new power commander installed (another $500). No more black pipes! Only the occasional pop after riding full bore down the interstate. I think the bike gets mad at me because I can only crusie through town at 30 miles an hour :D. I'm figuring with the hypercharger I am just going to have to live with the occasional pop at low speeds. The closest Dyno shop for me is a 2 hour ride so that will wait a little longer. My new mechanic is a keeper, very professional and up front. Hope your tune up solves your headaches too!

Ramakins I have a question about your Hyper- charger. Do you have the power commander installed on your bike. The next question is how does yours run? Anneoakley and myself have hyper chargers on our rides 1500s. mine is in the shop being dyno;d. Just want to know if you;ve had trouble with yours keeping it running.

Any help on both backrests and racks, or the hyper charger would be great.
