looking for a seat

all i know is there is a bracket stiching out the back of the seat with wholes in it that looks like a seat could bolt too and i would rather have a stock seat so yes if it will fit i would be interested in buying your seat

look at my photos... is the bracket the same as the one shown in my photo WITHOUT the seat on?  and you say holes to bolt to??? it sounds like you are missing the cross-over brace that you can see in my photo.

the new dual seat bolts to the same exact place the solo seat does with the 10mm bolts and with one additional 11mm nut on a bolt in the back.  you can see the slot where the bolt slides in on the back bracket.

my Corbin seat is supposedly not going to be ready until early Sept., is that ok or too late for you?  I can also take a better shot of the "repair" i made to the seat if you'd like.

i just got done ordering a Corbin seat and also bought an OEM seat from a guy on here - Corbin had a manufacturing problem that significantly delayed the seat delivery and i was afraid i wouldn't get it before bike week?!?!

QUESTION: What do you mean that "it came with brackets for a dual seat"? ... do you mean they gave you them and they are not installed?

I had to buy all of it and without the rear grip bar, the hardware ran about $425... the grip bar was $142.  If you have all the hardware to mount a dual seat AND CAN WAIT, I will sell you the OEM one that I bought when my Corbin comes in... with the grip bracket I would ask $225 + shipping.  The original owner of the OEM seat was a moron - he cut into it and made his own backrest?!?  Extremely stupid... so I had to use some vinyl repair to get the hole fixed.

ALSO - The seat is very comfortable, I did 150 miles the first ride on it and didn't feel a thing.

you guys helped me out on footpegs so thought i would see if you could help me out again, i have a 2003 drifter 1500 which was sold only as a single seat it has brackets on the seat to put a rear seat on but i am having trouble locating one that will fit i do want to keep the front seat it came with cause it is very comfy i need a rear seat and sissy bar that will hook to it any suggestions?
