I've seen harley, venture, and voyager trunks used. I had one at one time, but it didn't fit my needs... so I bought a Gold wing... ! <LOL>

Cheers.

I would say which style you want driving. If you the old Indian style choose then only leather. Otherwise one can also take plastic.

My wife wants a big cushy backrest, preferably with armrests.  I know, buy a Goldwing!  Thing is, while I can appreciate those full dresser type bikes, I don't really want one.  I figure that I can probably add a backrest / trunk (to hold my two full face helmets) to my 2 up seating, and use my solo seat for just hauling my butt around.  Best of both worlds, right?

Here's where I run into my issues............

I have a 1500 model, and Wompus makes a rack to mount a trunk (generic style rack) on the back.

The question is, what trunk?

Most of the trunks out there are quite Harley style, which means that they are pretty boxy looking.  That doesn't flow with the lines of our bikes well.  The ones I've seen like this are brands like the Mutazu, Viking Bags, the Supertrunk III from Scootworks, LeatherLyke, the Tsukayu Motorcycle Touring Trunk (comes in leather covered too!), and so on.  There are others, but most of the ones I've seen have a styling that is just too modern looking to look right I think.  Prices are from around $100 - $700, so there's quite a difference there.  And then there's always the factory route.  I could get a factory trunk from some bike, like say, a Honda Valkyrie Interstate and ditch the lettering, but most of those go for BIG bucks.  A salvaged one would save some bucks, but then that could be a shot in the dark.  I like the Corbin Streamliner trunk, but it only holds one helmet, and I need to stow two of them.  The Corbin Fleetliner trunk looks like it might hold two, but the styling is just OK.  It's better then most, but I don't know.  Plus, both of the Corbin trunks are $$$$$$$$$.

I guess what I'm asking is, what experiences do you all have with any of these trunks, or any other I haven't mentioned?  What did you like about the ones you've worked with.  What didn't you like?  And if you could buy any trunk for your Drifter (I know, thats like a prom queen with a black eye!) that would hold the helmets, have a generous backrest, and look at least moderately decent, which one would you pick?
