Thats what I was kind of assuming, I'm going to wind up passing on the mean streak engine it's a 12 hour round trip ride to pick it up. I'm thinking about attempting to replace the rod bearings, and if it gets much more difficult than that I'll have to consider alternatives. I can't justify spending 1200 on a used high mileage motor from ebay that could potentially have the same issues.

Drifter 1500 only / Engine swap
August 15, 2023, 14:12:01 PMSo I spun a rod bearing this weekend. I want to take the time to rebuild the engine properly but want to enjoy the rest of the riding weather this year. I found a mean streak donor bike. I was wondering if I would be able to do an even swap of the motors or would I need to swap everything from electronics to the pipes. Thanks in advance
