I have heard of a Drifter Reunion that will be held in Indiana in 2020 that is posted on Facebook.
I have not been able to successfully register on Facebook; probably because my computer is old.
I would love to learn more about that gathering and can be reached at lowellmm@att.net.

Hello DP,

I am referring to the 1st reply to the initial question on this post that has a diagram and recommends greasing a sleeve and replacing an o-ring while replacing the propeller boot.
The part number associated with the o-ring is given but I am having trouble locating that part.

I will need to replace the boot on my Drifter 1500 also but have a question about the o-ring.
In searching for the 0-ring I am finding listings with additional numbers behind the #92055C.
Can someone please assist me with some additional information on the part # ?

Thank You In Advance !!!

Thank You for the info about the 2020 Gathering !!
I live in Texas but am originally from Indiana and a trip back to my home state would be fun for me.
I don't participate in Face Book but will keep watching this site for more details about the event.

I was not able to attend either Drifter event in 2019 but was wondering if someone who did attend this event could post some pics or info about the gathering.
It is looking like I may have a chance at attending a similar event in 2020 if any materialize.

Drifter 1500 only / Re: Air injection removal kit

I have removed the AIS system on my Drifter 1500 and installed the plates.
The mod was not too difficult  to perform but space is somewhat tight when it comes to removing the hoses and valve.
I did have an air leak until I replaced the gaskets that go under the plates.
I am pleased with the results. My bike was not slow to begin and picked up a bit more power as a result.
Knowing what I know now I would make the mod again but would plan on replacing the gaskets up front.

The previous owner put the emblems on the tank. I had never seen any like them
before and am not sure who manufactured them. He did mention that they were somewhat
expensive but he had previously owned an Indian and wanted this look.

I removed a Corbin double seat and am working on the Nomad seat conversion to a solo seat.
I have the seat at a local shop that specializes in vintage motorcycle seats getting it recovered and also
having leather fringe added. I will post some more pics when I get it back.

As requested here are some photos of the Fort Worth Drifter that I just purchased.  As you can see the bike has Indian Heads on both sides of the tank , and a fake Indian Head Light on the front fender.  Another accent is the custom pin stripes supposedly applied at Dayton Bike Week.  On the engine side  I like the fuel injection and low end power, probably helped some by the V & H Longshot exhaust. It also has green lights on each side of the engine. I am not sure if I have a coolant leak or just overfilled the reserve tank. I have a lot to learn about this bike but am thrilled to have it.

I have removed the seat so it is beginning it's transformation but it will be a slow process.

Introductions / A Drifter Has Moved to Fort Worth
July 19, 2017, 11:55:13 AM

I recently purchased a 2002 Drifter 1500 from an individual in the DFW Metro-plex and it now resides in Fort Worth, TX.
I just joined this group to help me get familiar with the bike and connect with other Drifter owners as well. My Drifter has 23 K miles and has spent some time in Florida before the previous owner brought it to Texas. It presently has a two up seat and I am wanting to give it the single seat look and add some saddle bags as well. I am glad to be a part of VDR and look forward to spending time on the site and the ownership of my Drifter.
