Show posts MenuThanks. I kinda had a feeling the previous owner might have done it himself but it seemed odd to me he would go through the trouble to do so. I didnt realize that the paint job was custom either. That's pretty cool. She runs like a dream. I went from a Honda magna to the drifter and this feels like I'm sitting on a couch compared to the Honda lol. I'll add a better photo so you can see her on all her glory
Hi all! I've been searching and searching all over the internets and cant find anything on a drifter time warp. I haven't seen it on any other drifters so I've been scratching my head wondering if it's some special edition or what not. Its labeled right on the riser cover. I bought it from an Indian dealership that they got in on a trade here in MA a couple years ago. It's a 1999 1500. Any info would be a huge help. thanks!
Ps. I accidentally posted this twice with the first one not have photos. I couldnt figure out how to remove the other one. My apologiesQuote from: CDNRatMan on April 28, 2016, 21:23:34 PMThat is a nice looking red machine......do not let PC see that picture with the white stuff he will be ordering you to move south....
Bike is really nice looking.
LOL noted! thanks a lot, im very happy with it so far. the drifters are gorgeous bikes. im having white walls put on it this weekend and changing out the crappy tiny mirrors that are on it. the picture was from february on the day i brought it home from the dealer... no more of that white stuff around here anymore thank god. im itching to get out and ride!!!!!
hi all. i have a passenger seat that came with my drifter. but im pretty certain there must have been a bracket for it at some point that didnt get passed along to me. i was just curious if anyone on here knew of these seats and could help me a little. i would rather not cough up the money right now for a brand new two up seat. thanks!
i ended up finding one on ebay. thought id post the link in case anyone else finds themselves in the same situation. cheers!
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 25, 2016, 18:39:38 PMI have always ordered from the same outfit for tires and at the same time I order new tubes and rim liners, seems prudent for the cost involved to do it all new.
im the same way. just having a difficult time finding the correct tubes. can you tell me exactly where you get them from? thank you
Quote from: greenbarn on April 25, 2016, 18:15:35 PMI have found that sourcing tubes for these bikes is a lot harder than finding tires. You definitely want the 90-degree stem (PV -78 style), though -- You would be hard-pressed to get air in it with a straight stem. The 140/90-16 tube should fit:

Seems like I had trouble finding an "exact" match when I bought mine. Spend way more time hunting for tubes than the tires...
thanks a lot. i made the mistake of ordering one with a straight stem and my mechanic wouldnt even bother trying to put it on because of the difficulty in filling it. so thats when i tried finding one with the 90 degree bend and came up empty handed. i dont know much of anything about tires or tubes so i think ill trust in you and go with the 140/90-16 and hope for the best. this nice weather is teasing me to get out and ride!!!!!!! thanks again!
im stuck here having a hard time finding the correct tube for the rear wheel, and while im at it the front one possibly as well. i bought my 99 drifter in february and on our first ride the back tire went completely flat. wouldnt hold air at all. so i ordered a new set of tires. decided to do them both because i wanted the white walls. as you guys probably know, it turns out our tires need tubes in em. i pulled the rear wheel off and brought it into my bike guy to swap em out and he says i got the wrong tube. bummer. so now im interneting trying to find the correct ones but a. im not really sure EXACTLY which ones i need and b. im not sure where to get them. im looking for overnight or 2 day shipping as well because the bikes just sitting there all sad looking in the driveway on a jack. i searched the forums here and found a little info but i was kinda seeing if anyone had a verified source where they got theres from and send the info my way. thanks!
