he countered with 6500.... I wonder if he is aware what great strides the medical industry has gone through... Maybe it could help him.

Quote from: jmbo on April 29, 2017, 13:48:11 PMHOLY RUSTY ANGLE IRON BATMAN!! Not only is it ugly you would have to get a push start to get this sucker rolling! Did you see the size of the trike tires on that monster?
I just made an offer of $7.00
Quote from: pumppy10 on April 27, 2017, 19:37:45 PMsorry i misquoted him, said I can make it 100% because this is my know-how.
no no the need an additional$1500 to make it 100% that's classic. 100% of 50% is 50% am I missing something?
Quote from: pumppy10 on April 27, 2017, 18:43:49 PM
short answer yes.
Ruined a perfectly good bike but you never know in this world their are people even nuttier that may buy this crap and by crap I mean that tricycle that's rusted and has a battery hanging from it's side with a pioneer headunit from the late 80s.
How anyone would trust this guys welding blows my mind. Gosh couldn't have washed it before the posting? Ok ok not so short. You know the worst part? He is getting rid of it because he built another one... Now that's the best part about the listing. "God this is sooooo perfect that I'm going to build another one"

Quote from: OR_Seedman on April 13, 2017, 20:22:07 PMSorry...worked late today...here ya go. By the way, I had my springer seat sold...then the guy flaked on me and didn't take it. My wife told me to keep it because it looks cool and it works around town...so it's back on. Also, I mounted the war-bonnet light back a little so the face angle on the tank matches it. I hope it doesn't look too goofy...now I just gotta order the studded lid bibs..
man I love your pipes
Quote from: pumppy10 on April 13, 2017, 16:57:17 PMI was talking to a kawi dealer today and he said Polaris stopped making all there bikes including the indians. Has anyone else heard or seen anything about this?
imagine kawi starts the Drifter line again
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 12, 2017, 09:05:35 AMWell there you go......really simple order it and be ahead of the curve.....
always so quick to pull the trigger my friend.
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 11, 2017, 21:57:48 PMWell my son.......a lot depends on your present chain.
How old is it?
What shape is it in?
What type of chain is it?
If you are going to replace the sprockets it sort of makes sense to replace the chain, if it is a new one then you can get away with not replacing it.......pumppy10 I would just order a standard length for the 800 Drifter and if need be remove the odd link......
http://www.ebay.com/itm/322197255654 comes with the chain
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 11, 2017, 20:24:57 PMpumppy10 if the fiche is correct they are 2 different parts, the 800 is 92160-1697 and the 1500 is 92075-1121, I have never seen the damper off a 1500 so can not say for sure but I am betting they are two separate animals.
Mr. California......order your parts from Scooterworks and when you get them let us know, the twins might be riding the bike by then.....I should not cast aspersions on ScooterWorks as I have never tried to get anything from them.
I can say that once you make that swap you will be pleased with it
you've been trying to convince me to make the change for a while now. I'm just a little confused on the chain portion. New chain? No new chain? How long? Etc etc it's like going purse shopping with a woman. By the time she's done you are no longer sane....
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 11, 2017, 17:58:45 PMI did mine because GreenBarn threatened me with a beating if I did not do it. I did the front first then the next winter the rear, huge difference in highway riding at top speed. I notice nothing detrimental in the low speed range. I am also running the same sprockets as our grass man from OR is. I also went to an X ring chain. You will be saving yourself some grief and time if you pay attention to the dampers at this time also. You will also notice a huge difference in throttle response if the dampers are worn.
To test them once the rear wheel is off the bike with the wheel on the ground tilt it to the side, see if the hub slides out. If it slides out or is loose then replace the rubbers. The hub should fit nice and tight.
sprockets will be something I do as well... I hear scootworks has a good set and if you place an order you will get it by next Christmas lol
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 09, 2017, 18:57:44 PMD you amaze me once again in how nice that came out........I am sure the twins will have a blast with the bike once they can climb on it.......
Me personally I would go thinner than the fender and then do the shape of the tank......I can take pictures of my tank if you want them.....
shoot a picture over Ratman. I think your right
Quote from: dkeshish on April 09, 2017, 16:35:31 PMok here is one side of the rear
now the question is for the gas tank. That I need some opinions on. Teardrop chrome? Design a drifter logo? Keep the thick pinstripe like it is as factory? Other thoughts?
Quote from: CDNRatMan on April 08, 2017, 20:52:33 PM
Mr. Dkeshish I will tip my hat to you, that does not look bad at all it looks really nice in fact..........the twins must be proud of Daddy.....
ok here is one side of the rear
