Bought my bike with bown shocks, and about to replace them with progressive 440's. However, my front fork bottoms out as well on occassion. 43,000 miles on bike, unknown fork oil change history.
Does anyone have progressive springs on the front, and how do they compare to the stock ride?
Also, while i am at it, should i replace fork oil/seals/dampner rod/etc?
Hey Scwilli..You can also Harley Ultra glide rear air shocks they fit and ride really nice what a differance ....they are pretty reasonable on ebay just check the length of your shock thats all .... Rick
I have Progressive springs in mine. They work very well and improves handling greatly. You can adjust the springs through the simple use of spacers. Change the fork oil at the same time and ensure its at the proper level. While you have the forks apart, inspect the rest of the things you mention.
Thanks to both.
Dont want to go with air shocks as a replacement. The damn things always seem to be going out, be it on the bike or my dad's lincoln.
Now to decide seat vs suspension for my next purchase
