Title: Wobbly brake pedal.
Post by: Bucko on May 08, 2025, 19:17:39 PM
Anyone else have an issue with a loose fitting rear brake pedal shaft?  On my 99, the foot pedal tilts to the side about 1/4" before it starts to 'engage'.  I took it apart to inspect, but it's not clear if the pedal shaft, or the bore that it fits into (or both) have wear.   My 01 that has higher mileage doesn't have the problem at all.

It's probably just a coincidence but the 99's kickstand, it's bolt, and the bolthole are all worn so much the stand is quite loose.

I never had such an issue, BUT my '99 Drifter already faced that loosenin' from the kickstand's bolt and bolthole: it's finished that a local shop fixed it all, by redoing a new bolthole together with a new bolt...

Ya, I have a new bolt ready but trying to find someone I can trust to fix the hole properly is proving a bit of a challenge.  The side stand itself also needs some work as the inside of the 'fork' is worn.
