You might be better off with the one for the Nomad. It's a little longer and that should help keeping it from breaking.

Remove 3 Allen screws from triangle name plate on speedo console . I prefer to undo the 3 connectors to the idiot lights also .Wiggle speedo forward an inch (out of slot in front of tank bridge , Do not lose oval shaped rubber washer that goes in slot) . Put heavy towel on tank . Use multi grip to undo speedo cable end from speedo. Undo lower end of cable and pull cable thru . Assuming it is in two pieces, remove cable from speedo end also. I get my cables made up . Take the two pieces to a cable maker . Buy two . When re-assembling slide cable up tube and fit lower end first and tighten , routing the cable so it does not rest against the mudgaurd. Lube the MOUTH of the oval washer so it doesn't get pushed out when reassembling .

In a pinch, and if your outer cable jacket is in good shape, you can use a motion pro universal inner cable which needs to be trimmed to length and the proper fitting (included) crimped on the lower end of the cable.   You can install the inner cable without removing the outer cable (which is a bit of a plus).
