Does anyone happen to know the Genuine Fire & Steel part numbers for the black front axle covers to fit 99 and 00 model 1500 Drifters? I found the chrome ones in the accessory list on this site but no mention of the black ones. The hard copy of the Fire and Steel accessories doesn't show them either. Maybe there were no black front axel covers ? I know there were rear black F&S covers as I just found a set. And, I know there were chrome front axel covers as I have a set of those too.

I don't remember black ones, but I never looked since my Drifter was 2002.

To add more confusion.... I have another set of black covers that I thought were for the front Axle, but they don't fit. They don't fit the rear either. They may be for the rear of an 800 (since I think the 800 and 1500 fronts are identical?) or maybe for a different bike all together. Can't remember where I got them (it would have been a while ago) but I'm guessing from eBay.
If I can chime in, I'd say that 800's and 1500's have just the same front end. Rear is quite different, as far as I know.
Could you post some pics of that stuff?

Ya, that's why I was thinking the 'oddball' caps I have may be for the rear of an 800. I'll post a picture of them (if I can find them) shortly.
