Title: Corbin 2 Up Seat Install
Post by: daneberhard on May 06, 2011, 21:15:14 PM
I am changing from a stock solo seat to a drifter 2 up.  Do i need to ge the seat stay piece pictured here?  I am not planning on ever carrying a passanger but will use the 2 up seat for storage when traveling.  The peice looks to me like for support...
Didnt know if it is necessary for the install in my instance.
thanks

Corbin is a pretty strong seat and it will hold up without the support... just ensure you NEVER allow a passenger or load down the rear seat a bunch. You could break the seat pan and you WILL hit the fender on big bumps.

The seat will fit further back than it does with the support installed. If you have long legs that could be a plus.

This is NOT the way the seat is supposed to be installed so don't expect back up from Corbin if the seat fails, or you damage your bike!!
