There was a 1999 1500 recently listed on Seattle Craigslist with less than 100 miles for $29,000.....WOW!  the ad is no longer up....wonder if it actually sold

Still listed but now at 12,750 Euros.

They are worth what someone is willing to pay. Our bikes get more and more rare. I think we owners undervalue our bikes.
