Title: 800 vs 1500 seat
Post by: Karl Squire on March 08, 2022, 09:57:35 AM
Hi everyone.
I was hoping someone can answer this question, I currently own a 99 Drifter 800 but wanting to get a 1500 Drifter, The 800 is the Bike the wife and I ride and we love it. The problem is most of the 1500 all have solo seats, so my question is would the 2 up seat on my 1999 Drifter 800 fit on a 1500 drifter, are the mounting brackets the same.

Thank you so much
Karl Squire

I think I can give an answer to your question.
Unfortunately the 800 2up seat (but it's the same for the single one) and the 1500's are NOT interchangeable, 'cause of their totally different brackets.
Unless you're a real smart guy, with huge knowledge about modifications...  ;)

Corbin makes a two up seat for your 1500, but it ain't cheap.

Thank you to both of you for getting back to me, I kind of thought it would not work and the brackets would be different based on the fact that 800 is a mono shock and the 1500 is tower shock but I was hoping, I was hoping cause I know Corbin aint cheep lol.

Thanks again.

Cheers

I just added a listing in the Buy-Sell-Trade section for a full dual seat setup for a 1500 if you're interested.
