I'm shopping for tires on my own, and come across a letter next to the tire size and wondering what they mean/how they affect the tire fit? For example: 130/90H-16 or 130/90V-16 or 150/80B-16 (71H)?? The specs usually just say: 130/90 16 & 150/80-16 only... advice?
The H and V are for speed/load ratings. Anything better than unmarked, or S will be fine. S is for a max 93 mph, H for 130-140 mph, and V for 160 mph. Don't worry, they work just fine at 70 mph, too.
