Kaw used to have pdf versions of owner's manual for download and we had links to them. They changed the site so now you can only view the owner's manual online, you can't download it. They are out of print, so you can't buy it from them. ALL service manuals are sold out and likely out of print.
We have a section on manuals in the Mods area. Manuals (https://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/forum/index.php?action=links;cat=48). There are some alternatives listed. We periodically sell used manuals in the Classifieds. If anyone has a manual they want to donate or sell to us, give me a yell.
You can still print the Owners Manual from the Kawasaki site but it only allows you to print one page at a time - big PITA.
Also notice the 99 OM is there but the 01 shows 'file not found' error.
I have pdf versions of both the owners manual and the service manual. They were available for free on vulcanriders.se, but the owner of that site says that he is now riding an Indian and no longer offers the Kaw manuals.
I can post them here if that's allowed. Just tell me how to do it. They are both quite large 3.7 Mb and 151Mb.
I have a .pdf version of the 800 and the 1500(R) manual. I can send them via wetransfer if somebody needs them

I own the 800 manual, but it's for the 2001-2006 model and I've got a 1999.
What year's model is yours for?
'01-06. frankly< I don't think there is any real difference in the later models except chrome parts
I located the old PDF files for owner manuals.
We have provided two new pages in the REF-Manuals section of MODS. These list the manuals, P/n, and links to the PDF.
REF-MANUALS (https://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/forum/index.php?action=links;cat=48) - This area will allow you to view the PDF online and save to your computer if you choose.
We have also added the individual owner manuals to the DOWNLOADS area. That is found under the Mods and Accessories Nav button. These are PDF files which you will have to download to view.

Service manuals are a completely different story. In the REF-MANUALS area is some info on Service Manuals. VDR periodically sells manuals via the classifieds area. We currently have a 1500 and an 800 Service Manual, used, which will added to the Classifieds area shortly. If you have a manual you'd like to donate or sell cheaply to VDR, let me know.
We will continue to try and find Service manuals.
I do recommend Clymer and Haynes manuals for 1500 and 800 Drifters.
Chief: I have a pdf of the 1999 Service Manual. The file size is 151 Mb. I'm open to including it on the forum. I just don't know how to do it. FWIW, here is the cover.
