Has anybody switched out the front footboards for pegs on a 1500 Drifter.
I am a taller and am having trouble getting used to the boards and was wondering if anyone had ever switched them out and if so, what they used and how
Am in the process of working on the ergonomics to make the ride a little more comfortable and thought this might be another piece of the puzzle

I've not seen this done on a 1500. I think you might have problems with shifter and brake pedals and linkages due to different positioning of pegs.
A Meanstreak might be a good bike to look at to compare.
