I was considering Handle Bar Riser/spacers or maybe a series of washers.
Does anyone have experience on how large of a riser spacer you can go, before you need to extend your cables?
I did 2" risers on my 800 with no issue using the OEM length cables.

Awesome!
I went with 1" risers on ma-deuce, and no problems at all with the OEM cables.
I have Phat risers on mine - I think they're 4" They put the handlebars where they are comfortable for me. The cables all reached fine, but I think they're at about the limit.

awesomeness!
One of our Drifters came with 4" risers, there was some rerouting of the stock cables.
I went with 4" up 1 1/2" back pullback risers. I did not change any cables however the throttle cables are tight when turned all the way left and probably need rerouted to the rear side of the fork. I also had to drill out the triple tree to 1/2". I love the new configuration.
