Title: transformation in process
Post by: Easy Drifter on October 25, 2019, 14:25:09 PM
Picked up this '02 800 from it's original owner almost two months ago. Little by little I'm making "Black Bettie" mine.

The original owner gave the set to me when I purchased the bike from him.

They are Hard-Krome American Classic II, model 38-8010
2.5" outer pipe diameter, 1.75" inner pipe diameter.
They made a super difference in sound and once the carb was rejetted, performance as well.
Some folks consider them too loud; I happen to like the tone.

Nice bike... Twin sister to my 800 (well, it was when I got it, LOL)....   except for that fender painting -- that's cool.

I had Hard Khromes on mine for quite a while too.  Nice pipes!
