Title: Problem with Drifter VN 1500
Post by: GiacoBress on September 30, 2019, 14:50:35 PM
Hi guys!

I have a problem with my VN 1500 Drifter, after 3 min of having the engine on, the temperature light and the fuel light turns on, then the starts to lose power and the rear cylinder starts with some explosions while riding, can someone help me understand why?

Thanks!

Need to start with some basics.  Have you checked the coolant level on the bike?  If the antifreeze is low, it will overheat quickly.  Is the cooling fan coming on ?  (radiator fan)   If it is getting hot (or if the sensor says it's getting hot) the fan should run.  Post back with what you find.

Coolant level is ok and the fan does turn on, however, after that, the spark plugs of the front cylinder stopped working, I would think it is something on the wiring that is causing this, I would like to know a different opinion about it, the bike has no more than 14k miles
