that's my first time here.
I have just bought solo seat for my Drifter.
When i received it i saw this serial number PN 53001-1942. It seems that it is for 1500
Will it fit my drifter or some adaptation will be needed?

Hi Lotnik and welcome aboard.
As far as I know, the 1500 seat (solo or dual) doesn't fit the 800.
Obviously, you could try to adapt it to your bike, but it will surely cost you time & efforts.
Just my 2 cents...
That's not what i wanted to hear :)
I'm jus hoping that modification will be possible and it will look nice.
It's very hard to find a solo seat so i think i will try to do it.
Maybe someone who had same issue will read it and give me some tips and hints

Well, if you should ever get nowhere with it, maybe you can sell that seat and try this:

That's the springer seat that a manufacturer from India sells online (at a huge price...).
I saw those kinds of seats but it's not what i wanted to have.
I know that the best way would be to sell it and buy oem for 800 but i haven't seen solo seat for 800 in reasonable price
There is one more option.
Maybe someone has a free solo seat for 800 and wants to have for 1500 :)
Sell it on Ebay. The Solo Seats sell quick for the Drifters.
There are always one or two OEM solo seats for an 800 on Ebay and there is a company selling nice leather vintage Harley style solo seats that bolt right on the 800 Drifter.
Be a shame to cut up a perfectly good 1500 seat when there's as much demand for 1500 solos as there is for 800s.
