I must to buy a new rear tire to my drifter 1500.
My question is, did I must to buy tube tire or can I use tubeless tire?
Drifter manual says that Drifter tires must to be a tube tires and only Tourer model can use tubeless tires.
I imagine they are tubeless because they are spoke wheels and would not hold air.
Okay... first if you haven't changed the wheels you have SPOKED rims. You MUST use a tube. Second, all large displacement motorcycle tires are TUBELESS (with few exceptions). SO, you want to buy a tubeless tire, a tube and a rim strip for each tire. That's how your bike came OEM, btw.
Definitely tube tires are what is on your OEM spoked wheels.

FTFY :D
:o Thanks
Tubeless tires can be used with a tube but tube type tires can't be used without a tube even if put on a tubeless type wheel.
Spoke wheels can be sealed to run tubeless tires without a tube.
Some have had excellent success sealing their wheels but others have had only failures.
Our Drifter spoke wheels require a tube unless they have been sealed.
I have tubes in my tubeless tires as do most of us.
so can I use this tire type with tube:
Continental CM2 Milestone 150/80B16 TL 77H
yes. should work without any issues. You should also get a new tube and replace the rubber liner that covers the spoke mounts on the inside at the same time....

What is the rubber liner? Where I get it?
the rubber liner is a strip of rubber that covers the inside of the spoke connections on the wheel. it prevents the tube from accidentally getting punctured by any sharp points on the spoke connections. you can get one from most parts suppliers for tube type rims of 16" diameter....
You can find rim strips wherever you find tubes. Amazon also sells them

Make sure the tube has a PV-78 Valve Stem.
