Title: Light bar options
Post by: jamman on September 26, 2018, 09:11:38 AM
I have a 99 drifter trying to find a black light bar with black driving lights

Are there any options still available ?

Lightbars for a Drifter are as rare as unicorns...
Sometimes it happens, for unpredictable reasons, that a lightbar pops up over the internet.
If I'm not wrong, the 800 Classic's lightbars are good for the 800 Drifter.
I ended up buyin' an old and really rusty Drifter lightbar that I then had to polish good and repaint.

A 1500 Classic lightbar should work with the Drifter. The Nomad lightbar will not. Finding a black one is a problem. Some folks have had a chrome on powder coated.

This may be of some help:

National Cycle make a chrome one for Drifters that could be powder coated.

The plus side is that the shape spotlight shells mirror the shape of the headlamp shell.

The negatives are poor-ish detail design, and, on the one that I have, unbelievably crap craftsmanship and no quality control.
