It says its meant for the classic, but is it cross compatible with my 2005 drifter 800? I can't find anything else even remotely close to a comparable price here in Canada. Of course, I seem to never find any good info when I try to search this site either. Maybe someone here could point in a better direction to get the 18/38 setup for my bike
100% compatible with 800 Drifter.
Anti: Did you try Fortnine online? They used to be Canada's Motorcycle before the name change.
I just ordered a 18/38 set in jan and installed during the winter. Am now taking off the 18 and getting a 17t to go back on.
If you look there is a recent posting on this subject. Will let you make your own opinion.
But let me know what gear you had to use to get up outta Drum. On my bike with this set up I bet it would only be 3rd. Of course 3rd can do 95 kmp before you shift up.
Again: Fortnine is the best place to get parts for us Canadians. Cheapest prices, quick shipping and no hassle returns. Have been buying parts and gear from these guys for about 6years.
By the way, I will have an 18t 530 sprocket with only about 200kms on it for give away.

Yes, should fit a Drifter 800, though strangely the fitment chart says it won't. pretty much the only diff between the classic and drifter is the fenders!
