I'm finding that my arms are at full stretch riding the Drifter so am considering riser/setbacks. I don't want to have to change cables, wires or hoses. Tried to call and email Skootworks about their Phatrisers. No luck. Phone's disconnected and email won't go through. I've looked at the Rivco and Genmar links. Is anyone here familiar with the Rox Speed FX pivoting risers as sold by J&P cycles?
Stay far away from Scootworks, they are bad news. Do a search here and on Google on them. Lots of horror stories. They probably went out of business. Check these out. https://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/scootworks-zebulon-north-carolina-c591483.html
I put these on my 99 1500 Drifter. https://www.amazon.com/Krator-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Pullback-KAWASAKI/dp/B00C309CN6
The ones I have pictured were going to be used on Raven but they hit the speedo dash, so went back to the original for now.....
Gene those you pictured love the info that they will ship to Canada....lol they have a distributor in Toronto.....lol....hope they ship to Canada......
Thanks for the replies fellas. And especially you Gene, I'm going to order the set you're using. Indiana is just starting to warm up. Looking forward to it!
Old Drifter- maybe the 1500 is slightly different that it doesn't have the clearance issues that the 800 has?

Abby, FYI...you'll need to get adapter bolts. The holes in the triple tree are not large enough to accept the 1/2" riser bolt that the risers are threaded for. Don't even think about drilling out the triple tree...get the adapter bolts...H-D to Kaw.
Yes, get the adapters... a lot easier and safer to make HD risers work with the Drifter. Baron's has some I believe. Most HD risers are 1/2"-13. Kaw is m10-1.25... they make adapters with hd on one end and metric on the other.

Thanks for the input Chief, I believe these are the correct ones. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Baron-Custom-Accessories-Riser-Mounting-Kit-/323074964283?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10
Yes, thanks for the info and the link. Ordered an Idaho Jacks adaptor yesterday and mentioned getting the link here at the VDR. Bud seems like a good guy.
Abby once you have the jack stand ready to use, lift the bike just high enough to keep the bike upright, and sit on the bike as if your riding it. Then look at the picture and see your posture, then do the same with the risers or at least move the bars up and down and see what it does to your riding position......
Ok, bolts are ordered. Great idea RM. Thanks again all! BTW, and on a different subject, I've been using the Supertech ST6607 oil filter on the VTX and previously on a couple of Vulcan 900's. Just discovered they work on the Drifter 1500 as well. Supertech products are sold through Walmart. I haven't read any negative remarks about the filters and they sell for $2.84 apiece. Walmart also has the best price I've found for Seafoam. $6.97 for the pint can. Might save someone a couple bucks.
