Anybody know how to get some light scratches or scuffs out of plastic Drifter fenders? I tried using turtle wax and elbow grease and it does a little bit but not quite and I'm afraid to use anything abrasive. Anybody got any ideas or experience polishing plastic fenders? Thanks.
I just found this video but I don't think that's the way to go on a two-tone Drifter fender, but anybody know different?

That video is for soft plastic colored fenders. Not what you want for sure. Although the Drifter fenders are plastic, they are painted with automotive type finishes. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. I'd use the finest type polishing compound you can find and a good cleaner wax. I usually use Turtle Wax Premium Rubbing Compound (clear coat safe) and then Meguiar's liquid cleaner wax. My 2 cents.

so since they're painted is it possible to polish through the paint, and if so to what extent can I polish and not do that? thanks.

I was looking through my stuff in the garage and I have this from when I was polishing the lexan windshield on my other bike do you think this is okay?
Yes, that should be fine. You may need to use a lot of elbow grease depending on how bad the scuffing is. I also used to use that on my H-D windshields years ago.
Follow-up: that Novus stuff worked great. Didn't want to even try the #3 grade, which is for deep scratches; I used the #2 grade for fine scratches, then the #1 clean and shine--all pretty again! Thanks.
