Whats a good tune up for my 99 drifter 1500?

I have 71,500 miles on mine and have put in two sets of plugs in that time when the starting wasn't instant.  Good to blow out the air filter ever few years or when your mileage slips below 45.  Runs like new.

Follow the pm schedule... that's about all you need to do.

What do you know about cam chain tensioner's and how often do they need to be changed? I don't have a rattle or anything but in looking around on the web I came across someone who is a "master technician" saying they should be change around 25,000. If you remember I haven't had the bike a whole month I don't think and I just wanna make sure its in good working order, since its my favorite of the bike I've had and I would like to keep it around. Mine has almost 26,000. (The post where i saw this http://www.justanswer.com/questions/1ix0n-1999-kawasaki-drifter-1500)

Welp answered my own question. Went to a local shop to get my exhaust repaired and he said its a good idea to replace the cam chain tensioner between 20,000 to 30,000 or whenever you start to hear it.

I thought the cam chain tensioner was self adjusting?  How expensive are they and how do you do it?
