How do I remove the speedometer? I have removed the visible bolt on the cover but the speedometer cover still will not come off. How does it come off?

I have a 2001...the bolt holds the cover on, but the fit of the cover to the tank is quite snug. Lift up at the back end and then, as it comes up, push towards the steering head. There are 2 pins set in rubber bushings that hold the front part of the cover in place.
