Title: Tuning a Cobra Fi2000r
Post by: drifter-paul on July 23, 2017, 22:30:20 PM
I am looking at a Cobra Fi2000r for a Yamaha Roadstar. The r series has what look like plug in OEM connectors. Does anyone know if the last 3 digits of the model number are the actual settings for the bike e.g. Cobra says the pre-set Nomad is Model 08-0299. So is the 2 of 0299 the green light setting, the next 9 the yellow (3000 rpm up) and the last 9 is the red setting - top end ? As we have intake air temp and pressure sensors, I assume I would need a 'Closed Loop' one ?
Thanks  :-\

Didn't phrase that, very well. I meant I can buy a pre-set Roadster one cheaply, then set it to the Cobra Nomad/Drifter settings - if I know what they are, rather than starting from scratch to tune it. Anybody using a Fi2000r with Cobra or V&H exhaust and the EPA equipment removed(i.e. using toasters or marbles)

Here are the instructions and settings for FI2000 Drifter, I have Roadhouse exhaust so I had to tune mine alittle from the presets.
These settings are for Cobra exhaust.
