Does anybody here use waterless coolant in their Drifter? If so, what are your views on it?
You want to explain what you mean by "waterless coolant"?
I have just now started researching it. There is no water in this stuff, so no additives needed etc.

I didn't open the link but it's something like "engine ice" right. It's pretty good stuff I guess. I used it in my racing bike because it held so little coolant in the radiators, but it's different with my road bikes now so I use the Peak 50/50 pre-mix (and you don't add water). I don't really live in a hot climate - Seattle area - so I don't need the high performance coolant. Whatever you use as long as it says on there that it's okay for aluminum engines that's the only thing you got to watch for.

Maybe it's the same thing as oiless oil.
Oil less oil. Is that Amsoil made, not from carbon? I believe there is another product that does not use carbon products to make real SYN oil. Will someone help me?
Okay I just did a little research and learned that engine ice is not waterless. Evans is waterless. The problem with the waterless stuff I guess is that it makes the motor run hotter and even if your motor is fried nothing will boil over, ouch. I'm going to stick with my Peak 50/50 mix cuz it's been working great in both of my bikes even on the hottest days of summer here in western Washington

The manufactuer's Q&A Includes:
Q. Will Evans Waterless Coolant cause my engine to run at a higher temperature?
A.The operating temperature of the engine and coolant may increase slightly, by approximately 3-7 degrees. However the temperature inside the engine will be consistent and steam vapour will not be produced. i.e engines often run cooler with Evans Waterless Coolants.
I don't think the engine runs much hotter, the engine temp. would still be determined by the thermostat and the fan cut-in switch. If things go really pear-shaped then you wouldn't get the "warning" of clouds of steam (probably too late by then anyway) but you would get the warning light on the dash.
