Post by: thenemos on August 09, 2016, 17:16:11 PM
Can anyone tell me how to determine the proper placement of an Indian Head Fender Light?

Well supposedly you need to have the bike upright and level, then the head should be looking at the road ahead to see where you are going, to far forward and the head will be looking at the tire and to far back and it would be looking at the sky.

I would say the top of the light fixture parallel with the ground.

When looking at old Indian pics, Ratman appears to be leading you straight.  https://www.google.com/search?q=1953+Indian&rlz=1C1AVNG_enUS641US641&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=685&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj0_9Pw7LfOAhXMDMAKHZSCBaEQ_AUIBigB

I agree.  I placed it based on what I saw in a similar Google search. I appreciate everyone's input.  Thank you all.

Or, you could put it on the rear fender, facing backwards...  That way it can be looking at where you've been  ::)

Like the tech support guy at our point-of-service software place..... "Hey, I screwed up and processed this job, while the daily report was running, so now it's messed up.  How do I fix that??"    "well, you're not supposed to do that"

No Kidding?

I installed it so it looks towards the horizon but not past the chrome part of the wheel.
