I found this picture of a UNKNOWN custom leather mud flap on a 1500 Drifter.
From all others I've seen this one is mounted to the outside of the rear fender for lower paint protection. The others all have been mounted on the inside of rear fender.
Does anyone recognize who makes this one???
Thx
This may well be a custom made piece. I do see where it's riveted to the fender, so while it may protect some paint, it'll mean putting holes in your fenders.
Just speedholes.
These flaps are from the Sheriff's Department!
When you keep looking for them then either google here:

Or do a reverse image search, in Chrome for example, with this picture as a whole or cropped details.
You want really nice looking, quality mud flaps? Go to Franks Leathers. The guy is great to deal with and work top notch.
I ordered another mud flap set and fender bib from him.
I'll have to check them out. If you got any pics of what you ordered please post.. I know what mud flaps are but will have to their site on what a fender bib is......Thx

You might have guessed ... I loved that bike! :-)
Wow. What a beautiful machine. I always love the two tone on the 2001. It looks like a custom paint job and unique to that year. The 2002 Kaw. did a awesome 2 tone as well that looks custom. For some reason 04 -06 they did not really change the paint colors for some odd reason but still look cool. Franks stuff on his site looks great. Thx for the pics....
That mud flap looks a lot like the ones Chilhowee makes. https://www.chilhowee.net/kawasaki-mud-flaps/MF024.html

Maybe. I looked at Franks Leathers and they make some nice stuff but I ordered from Chilhowee Leather out of Oregon before and just love their stuff. So many option from different quality companies.
Right now I shopping for a jet ski for the family and sold my 800 last week. After selling my 800, Iam having sellers remorse/withdraws big time but the next caretaker was really cool and bought in now on an Ebay auction.
After seeing BamBam 2001 Drifter 1500 the other day and to fix my sellers remorse and void of a Drifter, know thats the year and factory color I will buy in the near future. For now I have to live with Drifter fever ;D
