hi all. i have a passenger seat that came with my drifter. but im pretty certain there must have been a bracket for it at some point that didnt get passed along to me. i was just curious if anyone on here knew of these seats and could help me a little. i would rather not cough up the money right now for a brand new two up seat. thanks!
That is a nice looking red machine......do not let PC see that picture with the white stuff he will be ordering you to move south....
Bike is really nice looking.
I have never seen a passenger pillion like that one....

LOL noted! thanks a lot, im very happy with it so far. the drifters are gorgeous bikes. im having white walls put on it this weekend and changing out the crappy tiny mirrors that are on it. the picture was from february on the day i brought it home from the dealer... no more of that white stuff around here anymore thank god. im itching to get out and ride!!!!!
;) WWW adds that little pizzazz to an already cool ride......
Just by chance today I was over to the local Honda dealer and saw a nice set of round mirrors with nice thick stems, not them spaghetti stem ones, and at the price they were a good deal so I was going to buy them, then the owner told me if I supported his shop for the Ride for Dad to support prostate cancer I could get them for half price.........well of course......so new nice retro round mirrors on my little red machine......
Nice bike, indeed!
It reminds me that smooth ride of mine... red with black: really cool!
Ratman, any pic of those mirrors?
nice looking ride!
i've never seen a 2up seat in 2 pieces...always seen them as a 1pc unit. did it come with the seat stay?
Nice looking ride, but like the rest, I've not seen that pillion seat before. If it was supposed to be mounted on the fender, then it's just for looks as the fender is plastic and moves quite a lot with the suspension. I know that the add-on rack that mounts between the add-on struts can only support about 10lbs. of weight, so I think it doesn't mount on that. I'm thinking that pillion is from another bike.
That is a Kaw part # -found one on ebay that says it's for a classic.

Funny..Gearhead has them listed for $9.95...must be a typo. I put it in the cart and it said that too.
That solo saddle is Drifter...
Drifter™ Solo Saddle - Tan, Studs
Fits:
Vulcan® 1500 Drifter™ (1999-2002)
Like your Drifter....

I do agree.
Unless that pillion goes together with the horseshoe bracket of the 2up OEM seat...
Bike looks beautiful! Looks like the the left engine cover is missing. Is that intentional? Kinda looks cool. Makes sense seeing that there isnt any chrome on the bike and the cover is all chrome. Anyways. Sweet bike!

1999's didn't have a left side cover. The 2000 models were the first to get them.
1999 and 2000 which are J1 and J2 have the open engine look. There are some subtle differences in the J series inc colour
2001 and onwards are the chrome bombers with the 'R' designation.
You can actually convert a J series into a proper R series with the engine OR even into a Meanstreak ... all the parts are the same...I think up to 2007 or even later.
