The contest for the logo design for Drift In 2016 http://www.drift-in.org/ (http://www.drift-in.org/) is now beginning.
All design submissions should be sent to Chief at chief@vulcandrifterriders.com . All designs should be submitted no later than March 31.
This year's event is being held in honor of our beloved Danny "Hillbilly" Taylor who passed on while riding one of his Drifters last April in his hometown of Texarkana, AR. Ideas for designs can be found at http://www.drift-in.org/history.html (http://www.drift-in.org/history.html) displaying all of the previous Drift In logos. I ask only that you please limit the number of colors to 3 if you would please as this helps keep the price of the T-shirts, etc more affordable. If you wish to include reference to Hillbilly, his VDOG member # was 1604 and his VDR # was 145.

Is there a deadline on the logos??
Hey Chief, I noticed on the Drift-In.org site, it says logo contest is "underway", but I haven't seen any details. Are there any submissions?? When is the deadline and voting??
The 2016 Drift-In logo has been selected. They only had one submission this year so there was no voting. Fortunately it was from one of our German members and looks good.

tj: Hillbilly, or Danny Taylor was a long-time drift-in participant. I had the pleasure of meeting him at DI 14 in Maggie Valley. Great guy. This is a post from last year when he was killed on his bike.
