2beers and I took The Mom out to lunch yesterday, and on the way back we stopped for some parts for Blue's Grampsizing. In a restaurant parking lot next to the Auto Parts store, we saw a Black 800! Of course, we pulled around to get a better look.
The Drifter was parked with a Harley, and as we were checking out the bikes, the riders came out of the restaurant. Turns out that the PO had just sold both bikes to the new owner...PO is taking delivery of a new HD and is selling off a couple of his bikes. He said he 'loves the Drifter!' and looked for 3 years to find one, but that the guys he rides with all have bigger bikes, and a 1500 hasn't come his way... so he's springing for a new HD.
PO and new owner left the parking lot together, new owner riding the Drifter 8). Would have been our choice!
This makes me realize how lucky I still am. Thanks for sharing.
