Title: Headlight Visor K53020-120A OEM Genuine
Post by: Trall on December 15, 2015, 13:32:26 PM
Can anyone tell me what Iam doing wrong?  I bought a Kawasaki Headlight Visor and it came with no directions.  I installed it but it seems if you barley bump it or touch it it wants to pop off.

You angle the small little clips inside the headlight assembly and push down and its sits in place but does not seem stable.  If you place your fingers and barely apply pressure upward it will pop right off.  My thought is if your driving it down the road the wind pressure will do just that.  Its winter time in IL so have not tried nor want to with a $35 part.

;) oh what a pain, just wait till you buy visors for the spotlights....now those you need 3 hands and a small multi handed small person to fit.......ok did yours not come with a piece of spring steel? I have mine off right now so will go and take pictures to show you. Mine is not super tight either but never has it moved or come off during a ride.

No mine has three clips and I angle the visor in the headlight gap and press down and its in place but it also come off just as quick with barely grabbing it upward.

ok so the visor looks the same. I hsd the same three small clips and I did have to bend them a bit, but I also had a section of spring steel in the bag with the visor that was already in a arc'ed form and I was also a bit confused as there was no instructions and I found some someplace and went with it, This is what I came up with. The spring steel holds it in place.

hope this helps

CDNRATMAN Thanks you saved me
from buying a new one at $35 and I sent the pic you provided to the seller and told them of the issue  and here is their respone-
"Sounds good. Our parts manager is ordering it today. Will probably have to just order a whole new visor because I don't see the retainer listed as a separate part."

When I bought mine the visor was in the box and the retainer was just moving free in the box, I almost throw it out thinking it was junk that had fallen into the box.....lol.....hope it works out for you .....
